Thursday, December 4, 2014 Page 3 Church and related activities LELA KATE TOWNES FOX Lela Kate Townes Fox, St. Paul, age 87, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, after a serious illness. She was born in Dante, daughter of the late Harry and Meda Robinson Townes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved quilting and made many beautiful quilts over the years. She loved bird watching, traveling, and dining out with her friends. She was a tiny, sweet, loving, and gener- ous soul and will be great- ly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her beloved hus- band, Myers D. Fox, Sr and two sisters, Betty Townes White and Margaret Townes Castle. She is survived by her beloved son, Myers D. Fox, Jr and wife, Sheila of Saint Paul; her beloved daughter, Linda S. Blevins and husband, Carroll of Lebanon; her beloved grandsons, Casey M. Fox and fiance, Jessica Sturgill of Coeburn, Brandon C. Blevins and wife, Amanda of Lebanon, and Christopher B. Blevins of Johnson City, Tennessee; special friend, Julia Goodwin; and special great grandson, Joshua London Fox; two sisters, Lillian Salyer and husband, Gerald of Richlands, and Beulah Mullins of Clintwood; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Lela Kate Townes Fox will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with Rev. David Wolfe officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers will be Carroll Blevins, Richard Ervin, George Robinson, Casey Fox, Brandon Blevins, and Chris Blevins. Honorary Pallbearer will be David Lee Austin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
