Thursday, November 3, 2016 From Page 6 The Town of St. Paul had their Trunk or Treat on 4th Avenue, Monday from 5 pm until 7 pm. end of day, the Blue Devils overtook the Spartans for the win 48-44. The game was filled with almost equally matched efforts from both teams. The Blue Devils can credit their win to the third quarter where they scored 20 points to the Spartan's 0. The Spartans rushed the ball 213 yards and the Blue Devils rushed for 294 yards. The game had many passing yards with the Spartans passing 162 yards and the Blue Devils passing 197. Some key players included Eastside's Burley Ball who had 8 tackles with 3 being for a loss, and Castlewood's Josh Wood who had 174 rushing yards. Lady Eagles over Lady Spartans BYKATHRYN COURTNEY On October 25, 2016 the Lady Spartans took on the Rye Cove Lady Eagles at home. It was a tough bat- tle for both teams. The game ended in four set with a Rye Cove win. The Spartans will be playing again on November 1, 2016 at Rye Cove for the District tournament against the Norton Raiders to see who will be advancing to regionals. Photos by Shonna Peters Town of St. Paul Veterans Day Ceremony The Town of Stl Paul will sponsor a Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11 at 10:00 am att he memorial in front of the post office/TruPoint Bank building. The area VFW will be performing the ceremony to honor all veterans. The Castlewood High School Marching Band will perform as well as the elementary students from St. Paul School. Following the ceremony, veterans are invited to the Town Hall for refresh- ments. This is an open invi- taitonto all veerans to attend this moving ceremo- ny.
