Church and related activities GERALD RODERIC SMITH Mr. Gerald Roderic Smith, age 82 of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016, at Saint Thomas MidTown Hospital in Nashville. Born Wednesday, April 25, 1934 in Russell County, he was the son of the late Carson Smith and the late Beulah Watson Hum. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Surviving family mem- bers include - daughter - Karen Stewart and husband Dale of Sparta, Tennessee daughter - Debra Evans of Sparta, Tennessee daughter Jennifer Daults, Spring Lake, Michigan grandchildren Jacqueline Auberger and husband Derrick, Derek Stewart and wife Kelley, Jeremy Breiner, Jesse Talley, Melissa Cather, Randy Smith sister - Eunice Zellner brother Randolph Smith and wife Edna brother - Gary Smith In addition to his par- ents Mr Smith was preced- ed in death by two chil- dren, Richard Smith and Charlotte Benson and two sisters, Helena Huff and Charlotte Glover. A Memorial Service is planned for Sunday, November 6 at Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 3:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made to the family at LONNIE "Poss" HAROLD WILLIS Lonnie "Poss" Harold Willis, 69, Bristol, Tennessee, died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tennessee. He was born in Dante, Virginia;, son of the late Richard and Ardis Camper Willis. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Onie Willis,. Willie Willis, and Larry Willis; three half brothers, Carl Willis, Lyle Willis, and Vaine Willis; one half sister, Dorothy Jennings. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a retired truck driver. He is survived by his daughter, Tina Johnson and fiance, Randy Hogsette of Newland, North Carolina; one step daughter, Penny Fourshee and husband, Coleman of Hickory, North Carolina; one son, Kevin Willis and wife, Nicole of Hickory, North Carolina; two sisters, Nannie Belle Austin of Dante, Virginia and Richie Minton of St. Paul, Virginia; two step grandchildren, Cole Fourshee and Logan Fourshee; two grandchil- dren, Matthew Armstrong and Hunter Willis; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Lonnie Harold Willis will be conducted at 1:00 p.m Thursday, November 3, 2016 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Darrell Milgrim offi- ciating. Interment will fol- low in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia.
