Page 4 CLINCH VALLEY TIMES, St. Paul, VA, Thursday, September 26, 2013 ;70 t----h WED--DING ANNIVERSARY...Mr. and Mrs. James Dorton of Defiance, Ohio celebrated their platinum anniversary with family. James Dorton and Fern Sutherland were married September 23, 1945 in Bristol. The couple has two children: Jim Dorton of Glen Allen and Connie Cline of Defiance, Ohio. They also have four grandchildren, eight great-grand- children and three great-great-grandchildren. Guess who? After an absence of over 30 years or more, these two were reunited again on her return to this locality for a brief engagement. Perhaps, you may, most of you, recognize the gent readily, but it is his lady friend who is in question. Clue: Her father and mother were close friends of mine for numerous years. Both parents were prominent and well-known residents of St. Paul for many years. A gift certificate is available to the first person who comes by the Clinch Valley Times and identifies both parties who appear in this picture.
