Page 8 CLINCH VALLEY TIMES St. Paul, Va. Thursday, September 7, 2017 Dominion, TVA fund storm water project in St. Paul Upper Tennessee River Roundtable received funding from Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation to install permeable pavers at a parking lot across from the St. Paul farmers' market. Tennessee Valley Authority contributed funding for education and outreach for this project. The Pave Drain system allows water to soak in rather than run off the parking lot. As part of the TVA funding, Upper Tennessee River Roundtable embarked on a storm drain marking project. Wetlands Estonoa Learning Center, Virginia Department of Forestry and Virginia Department of Environmental Quality coordinated the marking project to install metal labels warning everyone not to dump anything down storm drains because they empty out into the river. Clinch River Valley Initiative VISTA member Robyn Goad assisted with the project. Volunteers marked over 40 storm drains. Information fumished by Upper Tennessee River Roundtable.
