Area )l00ituaries Nelson Taylor Bellamy Nelson Taylor Bellamy Jr. "Pete" 71, Bristol, Tennessee/St. Paul, Virginia passed away peacefully on Friday Aug. 16, 2014. He was the son of the late, Nelson of Eliza Bellamy, he wa born on May 19, 1943. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, where he served his country and fel- low man honorably. While in the service he earned; the Veterans Service Medal, the Marksmen Medal, the Vietnam Campain Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Missile Man Badge. He enjoyed fishing, and God's Creation. He was a strong- willed straighforward, dig- nified man. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother; James Larry Bellamy "Jim" He is survived by his two children; Barry Nelson, of Union MI, his daughter Angela Delores Louise of Festus MI; five grandchildren, Justin, Tayler, Zachery, Hannah, Noah, Siblings; Hazel Marshall, (husband) Calvin of St. Paul, Jean Wright of St. Paul, Margie Caldwell (husband) Edward of Miles Texas, Loyle Bellamy (wife) Kathleen of St. Paul, Marietta Dodson of Bristol TN, 16 nieces and nephews several other close rela- tives and friends. The family will recieve friends for the service for the visitaton on Thursday evening from 6 p.m until 8:00 p.m. at Holding Funeral Home of Castlewood. The funeral service will be conducted following the visitation with the Missionary Evangelist; Jeff Bellamy officiating. Charlie H. Linkous Charlie H. Linkous, 75, Castlewood, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at his home surround- ed by his family and friends. He was born in Cranes Nest, Virginia; son of the late Leonard and Minnie Johnson Linkous. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Linkous; and two sisters, Ethel "Toots" Hileman and Ruby Fleenor. He graduated from Castlewood High School in 1959 and he was the first quarterback of the school. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Kerns Bakery for thirty-one years and was known as Charlie the Bread Man in our com- munity. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, worked in Vacation Bible School, a member of the O)er the Hill Gang, and he was instrumental in forming the church youth group. He is survived by his loving wife of' fifty-one years, Shirley Hobbs Linkous; two sons, Richard Linkous and wife, Julie of St. Marys, Georgia and Robert Linkous and wife, Sharon of St. Paul; six grandchildren, Josh Linkous and girlfriend, Felecia Biringer, Isaac Linkous and girlfriend, Katie Shaver, Marley Linkous, Hayden Linkous, Nicole Linkous, and Aubrey Linkous; four sis- ters, Marie "Jim" Linkous of Clinchco, Virginia, Evelyn Salyer of Castlewood, Bessie "Pete" Castle of Castlewood, and Gay Nell Skeen and hus- band, Jim of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; two brothers, Buddy Linkous of Oceana, West Virginia and Jerry "Bird" Linkous and wife, Brenda of Castlewood; one sister-in-law, Nancy Linkous of Newport News, Virginia; special caregiver and sister-in-law, Buena Evans of Coeburn; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends. Funeral Services for Charlie H. Linkous will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 in Calvary Baptist Church, Castlewood, with Rev. Leonard Ferguson officiat- ing. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. Military Rites will be con- ducted at Calvary Baptist Church by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and the Virginia National Guard. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Love Mausoleum, Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Josh Linkous, Isaac Linkous, Hayden Linkous, Aubrey Linkous and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church and the Over the Hill Gang.
