Mackenzie is the daughter of Kevin and Connie Trent. Her grandparents are Larry & Fay Buchanan and Ronnie & Linda Hamric~ Mackenzie has one sister, Morgan Trent. Mackenzie has participated in two athletic sports throughout her high school career. She was a member of the Varsity Volleyball team for three years and a member of the Varsity Track team for three years• Mackenzie• participated in many extracurricular activities. She was a member of the BETA club for two years; a member of the SADD. club for five years; a member of the FBLA for three years; Estonoa for one year; and SCA for four years. Mackenzie served as the Senior class Vice President. Mackenzie has also excelled academically. She has received medals for many of her classes, Physics, Chemistry II, Dual .Enrollment English 12, Dual Enrollment Calculus, and Holton Governor's School. Mackenzie received an award for Early College Scholars Program for 2013 and the VHSL Academic Excellence Award. Mackenzie is graduating with an Advanced Studies Diploma and as an Early Scholar. Mackenzie has been awarded many scholarships, including the C-Health Foundation Scholar- ship, Russell County Foundation Scholarship, Crockett Merit Sch- olarship and Thurston H. & Kathleen Miller Strunk Scholar- ship through the University of Virginia's College at Wise. Mackenzie plans to attend University of Virginia's College at Wise where she will major in nursing. Mackenzie aspires to become a cardiac cath-lab nurse. (~orey Alexander France Corey Alexander France is the Salutatorian of Castlewood High School for the Class of 2013. Corey is the son &Alvin and Brenda France. His grand- parents are Jimmy & Frances Willis and Harold & Marie France. Corey has special aunts and uncles Sandra Willis, Rick and Peggy Fleenor and Kevin and Pam France. Corey has one brother, Devan France. Corey has participated in four athletic sports throughout his high school career. He was a member of the Academic team for two years; the Speech and Drama team for two years, Forensics for two years and the Varsity Tennis team for three years. Corey participated in many extracurricular activities. He was a volunteer with the Estonoa team and served as a coach for Lebanon Community Fellowship for 1 IA years. He was a member of the SCA three years serving as class president during his freshman year; class vice president dur!ng his sophomore year; and class secretary during his junior---yeaL_He was also a member of the BETA Club where he-~servgd as the Vice Preside~was a member of FBL-A-~-~'fi~r~ced first place in the regional competition for FBLA web design. He also placed second in the trigono- metry math contest through Southwest Virginia Community College. Corey also had the privilege of traveling to New York through the Southwest • Virginia Community College Governor's School. Corey is graduating with an Advanced Studies Diploma and as an Early Scholar. Corey has been awarded many scholarships, including the Charles McFarlane Memorial award, and the Chancellor's Scholarship from the University of Virginia's College at Wise. Megan Savannah Hall After graduating from the Megan Savannah Hall, the University of Virginia's College daughter of Bobby and Missy at Wise with a degree in Hall, is a Castlewood High Chemistry, he plans to pursue a School honor graduate. Her grandparents are Pooch and Nora doctorate degree and become a Lee Bise. She has one sister, dermatologist specializing in Shaina Hall. utilizing lasers to remove skin Megan has participated in abnormalities such scars. Dalton Lee Addington Dalton Lee Addington, the son of Bobby and Terry Addington, is a Castlewood High School honor graduate. His grandparents are Emmett and Agnes Addington, Hazel Leo- nard and Lynn Selfe. He also has special family members: Crystal West, Candice West and Summer Woodward-. Dalton has participated in several sport activities. He was a merflber of the Varsity Basket- ballteam for two years; Varsity Cross-Country team for three years; Forensics for one year and Theatre for one year. Dalton has participated in several extracurricular activities. He served as SCA President for one year and vice-president for one year. Dalton was a member of the Team Estonoa for one year and FBLA for five years. Dalton is graduating with an Advanced Studies Diploma, and is graduating as an Early Scholar. Dalton has 1Seen awarded many scholarships, including the J.R. Jones Jr. Family Scho- larship, the Virginia Tech College of Science Scholarship, and the Earl C. Cochran Scholarship. Dalton plans to attend Virginia Tech where he will major in Biology. She has one sister, Alisha Bise. Chelsea has participated in several extracurricular activities. She was a member of the BETA Club for two years, FBLA Club for three years, and the Spanish Club for three years. Chelsea is graduating with an Advanced Studies Diploma and is graduating as an Early Scholar. Chelsea plans to attend Virginia Tech and major in biology• She plans to pursue a career as a veterinarian. She was a member of the journalism team for one year, the SCA for 3 years serving as clasg president; Secretary of the Spanish club for one year, and a member of the BETA club for two years. Megan has received several academic recognitions. She received academic medals in Art, Calculus and Chemistry. Megan received the Woodman of the World History Award. Megan is graduating with an Advanced Studies Diploma, and is graduating as an Early Scholar. Megan has been awarded the 2013 Pamplin Leadership Scholarship and the Earl C. Cochran Scholarship. She plans to attend Virginia Tech and major in university studies. She plans to pursue a career that will make an impact on her community. Emily Paige Gordon Emily Paige Gordon, the daughter of David and Barbara Gordon, is a Castlewood High School honor graduate. Her grandparents are G.J.and Barbara Gunther Meadeand L.C. Gordon. She has special fam!ly members: Sheila Grace Johns, Lisa Kay Smith and Ward and Fay Carter. Emily has participated in several extracurricular activities. She is a member of the'BETA club for two years, the FBLA club for one year, the Team Estonoa for one year and French Club for one year. Emily has received several academic recognitions. She has outstanding achievements in French I, Art I, Art II, Art III, Earth Science II, and English 10. Emily is graduating with an Advanced Studies Diploma, and is graduating as an Early Scholar. Tiffany Brooke Casteel Tiffany Brooke Casteel, the daughter of Janette Mullins, is a Castlewood High School honor graduate. Her grandparents are Bert and Nannie Mullins. She has one sister, Madison Caste'el. Tiffany has participated in several extracurricular activities. She was a member of the Blue Devils-Drama team for two years and the Forensics team for two years. She also served on the journalism team for one year. She has been a member of the BETA Club for two years and served as President for one year, FBLA Club for four years, the SCA for one year, and the French Club for three years. Tiffany has received several academic recognitions. She re- ceived academic certificates in Chemistry ! and II, Biology II, and Pre-Calculus. Tiffany recei- ved the VHSL Academic Excellent Award and is certified as a Microsoft Specialist. Tif- fany Chelsea Elizabeth Whittington Chelsea Elizabeth Whitting- ton, the daughter of Jason Whittington and Angie Hileman, is a Castlewood High School honor graduate. Her grand- parents are Roger and Corine Hileman. Chelsea. has p~rticipated in several sport activities through- out her high school career. These include Cheer!eading for four years; Band for three years; and Varsity Track for three years. Chelsea has'participated in several extracurricular activities.
