Bruce Willard Burke, Jr., 73, St. Paul, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Russell County Medical Center, Lebanon. He was born in Trammel; son of the late Bruce Willard, Sr. and Beatrice Keith Burke. He was preceded in death by one son, Denny Burke. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the U.M.W.A. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Burke; one daughter, Sharon Burke of St. Paul; two sons, Kenny Burke of St. Paul and Dwayne Burke and wife, Anne of Lebanon; two sis- ters, Shirley Mullins Meade of Lebanon, and Linda Sue Counts and hus- band, Lowell of Blountville, Tennessee; two brothers, Larry Burke of St. Paul, and Dennis Burke and wife, Debbie of St. Paul; twelve grandchil- dren mad a special arrival in two weeks; one great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services for Bruce Willard Burke, Jr. were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with Rev. Gilmer Castle officiating. Interment followed in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Military Rites were con- ducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and Virginia National Guard. Pallbearers were Family and Friends. The family received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
