Thursday, May 4, 2017 Page 3 Church and related activities RANDALL LEE HARTSOCK ROCKFORD, ILLI- NOIS - Randall' Lee Hartsock, 72, died Monday, April 24, 2017 at hisS-home with his wife at his side. He was born in Dante, Virginia; son of the late L. G. and Ella Glovier Hartsock. He graduated from St. Paul High School in Virginia. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving three tours in Vietnam. After the war he returned home in 1967 and began his career as a woodworker for- Guilford Corporation for thirty-six years. He mar- ried his loving wife; Nancy S. Braun in 1977. Randall was a devoted husband, father, and papaw and in the last two weeks, a proud great grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, gardening ........ and feeding the squirrels. He was a master at Lego set construction and enjoyed reading to his grandchildren. His smile and warm heart will be missed greatly by his fami- lyand many friends. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hartsock; three children, Tonya Brown and husband, Bruce, Robert Braun, and Matthew Hartsock and wife, Traci all of Rockford, Illinois; seven grandchil- dren, Michael Brown, Miranda Brown, Justin Braun, Kayla Braun, Cecilia Hartsock, Faith Hartsock, and Matthew Lee Hartsock, Jr.; great grandson, Levi Henry Brown; one brother, Gary Hartsock and wife, Debbie of Abingdon, Virginia; two sisters, Barbara Asbury and husband, Clinton and Karen Gilbert and hus- band, Greg both of Abingdon, Virginia; sever- al nieces, nephews, and many cousins. Funeral Services for Randall Lee Hartsock will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Arville Dingus and Brother Fred Dingus officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Military Rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and the Virginia National Guard. Pallbearers will be Bob Braun, Michael Brown, Greg Gilbert, Josh Gilbert, Brian Hartsock, and Charles Kiser. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund that will be established at a later date. Entertainers at the Clinch River Festival The A.R. Matthews Park will be rocking with a wide variety of entertainers at this year's Clinch River Days Festival on June 2 and June 3. Friday's enter- tainment will include the always fun Main Event Wrestling to begin at 6 pm on the Little League Field. The musical entertainment will begin on the stage with the popular Clinch River "Idol" Contest from 5 to 6 pm; cash prizes will be awarded with an appear- ance on ARC TV for the winner. Registration begins at 4:30 pm. Longshot will have everyone on their feet with their popular dance music from 6 to 8 pm. The Scratch River Telegraph Company will perform their own brand of soulful music from 8 to 9 pm. The versatile high energy southern rock band, Acoustifried, will perform from 9 to 11 pm to end the evening's entertainment. Saturday's entertain- ment begins with a full day of exciting performances and events on the park stage and basketball court. The always fun Center Stage Cloggers will dance from 12 to 12:45 pm. The H C Underground Band will perform their country favorites from 12:45 ,to 2 pm. The best gospel music anywhere will be per- formed by The King's Messengers from 2 to 3 pro. The best bluegrass in the coalfields will be per- formed by the popular Bluegrass Circle 'from 3 to 4:30 pm. Joseph Young will amaze the audience with a special stage perfor- manc from 4:30 to 5 pro. Joseph will also be in the park from 10 to 8 pm with his magic tricks and slight of hand. The toe tapping, high energy music of Coal Creek will perform from 5 to 6:30 pm. Hold the ladies back because the fabulous "Ivy Road" will have your hearts racing from 6:30 to 8 pm. The "So You Think You Can Dance" contest will be held from 8 to 8:15 pm. Register at the park stage at 7:30. Trophies will be awarded. Our rocking and rolling, can't be missed, dance party with Big Engine will perform 8 to 11 pm.
