Thursday, April 16, 2015 Page 3' '0 aries Church and related activities JAMES ELGAN "SPEEDY" BURTON James Elgan "Speedy" Burton, 80, Saint Paul, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home. He was boi~a February 9, 1935 on Bull Hill, Wise County; son of the late Walter "Bud" and Ava Holbrook Burton. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Ann Burton and Donna Gall Austin; one sister, Rosa Lee Ramsey and brother- in-law, Dee Ramsey. He was a retired coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Burton; two daughters, Mary Jessee and husband, Frankie of Castlewood, and Susan Campbell and husband, Tony of Fall Branch, Tennessee; two sons, James "Jim" Burton and wife, Rene of Castlewood, and Richard Burton and Lisa Collins of Castlewood; three sisters, Loretta Burton of St. Paul, Jean Estrada and husband, Ray of Chula Visa," California, and Margie Epperson Of San Diego, California; one brother, Charlie Burton and Gloria of Dante; six grandchil- dren, Crystal Gall Ingle and husband, Junior of Saint Paul, Shannan Jessee Steele of Castlewood, Virginia "Jenny" Hale and husband, Ben of Saint Paul, Terry "George" Burton of Saint Paul, U.S. Air Force Staff Sargeant Phillip Campbell and wife, Nicole, of Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, and Chad Campbell of Fall Branch, Tennessee; five great grandchildren, Autumn, Hannah, and Dylan Ingle of Saint Paul, Michael Hale of Saint Paul, Gavin Greer of Castlewood; four step grandchildren, Toshia Collins, Miranda Robinson, Megan Smith, and Dukes Schulhoff; two step great grandchildren, Payton Collins and Noah Robinson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for James Elgan "Speedy" Burton were conducted at 7:30 p.m Thursday, April 9, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Chapel, Castlewood, with Rev. Doug Trent officiating. Committal Services were conducted at 11:00 a.m Friday, April 10, in Burton Family Cemetery, Saint Paul. Family and Friends met at the funeral home and went in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:15 a.m. Friday Pallbearers were Dave Ramsey, Jeff Burton, Terry Burton, Junior Ingle, Ben Hale, and Tom Kennedy. Honorary Pallbearer was Larry Trent. The family received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m Thursday, April 9, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
