Thursday, April 6, 2017 Page 3 0 Church and related activities RHONA RENEE BURTON CASTLEWOOD, VIR- GINIA Rhona Renee Burton, 48, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her home. She was born in Bladensburg, Maryland; daughter of the late James Waddel. She is survived by her husband, Jim Burton; one daughter, Megan Britain and husband, Chad of Kingsport, Tennessee; one son, Orion Schulhott of Castlewood, Virginia; her mother, Mary Ann Olah of Castlewood, Virginia; two brothersl Michael Olaf of California and Tom Olah of Florida. Due to Mrs. Burton's wishes she was cremated. The family wants to give special thanks to their family and friends who brought food by and visit- ed with Renee during her illness. Castlewood Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. LORRAINE MARCELLEBOYSEN LUCAS ST. PAUL, VIRGINIA - Lorraine Marcelle Boysen Lucas, 92, died peacefully, with her family by her side on Saturday, April 1, 2017. She was born in Glover, NorthDakota; daughter of the late Boye Pau!sen and Sarah "Christine" Hansen Boysen. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Grover Glenn "Red" Lucas (for- mer Chief of Police in St. Paul, Virginia); two broth- ers, Robert E. Boysen and Clyde L. Boysen; and her sister, Donna M. Boysen Abbott. She was of the Lutheran faith. Over her lifetime, Lorraine lived in North Dakota, Sioux Falls and other locations in South Dakota, southern California, and Colorado, before settling down in beautiful St. Paul, Virginia. She attended Madison High School, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, class of 1942 and graduated from Nettleton Business College in 1944. "Miz" Lucas (as the stu- dents lovingly called her) worked as an aide at St. Paul Elementary School, and was Secretary/Administrative Assistant at St. Paul High School from 1970 until her retirement in 1985. Over the years she positively impacted and enjoyed life- long relationships with many faculty and s udents. She was loved and admired by them. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword and word puzzles. She and Glenn enjoyed lake life in the summer, loved to camp, and spend time with family and friends. Grateful for having shared life are her daughters,Donna J. Sandstrom and husband, Mike of St. Paul, Virginia, Diane L. Skeber and hus- band Ron of St. Paul, Virginia; Delaine K. Wells and husband, Eddie of Powell Valley, Virginia, Debra A. Phillips Curtis and husband Dana of Roanoke, Virginia, Dallas N. Rudder and husband, Dave of St. Paul, Virginia, and step-daughter, Patricia Lucas Bracken and hus- band, Pat of Quartz Hill, California; her younger brother, Lyle C. Boysen of Sioux Fails, South Dakota; eighteen grandchildren, David Hodge, Julie Hodge Linkous, Jimmie Hodge, Kelly Raile, Kate Skeber, Ryanne Phillips, Erika Phillips, Cole Phillips, Joyce Kilgore, Jason Kilgore, Ross Rudder, and step grandchildren, Bill Sandstrom, Sonia Sandstrom, Savannah Wells Tolbert, Amanda Wells Osborne, Ronald Rudder, Mischelle Fisher, and Frank Bracken; fifteen great grandchildren, Hannah McCowan, Josh, Isaac, and Nicole Linkous, Haleigh Hodge Cumby, Josie Phillips, Suzanne and Adam Scheerer, Bryce Kilgore, Kennedy Kilgore, and step great grandchil: dren, Michaela and Alex Osborne, Landon Tolbert, Alexis Jump, Jessica Mikul, Zoey, Eli, and Leila Rudder; along with a cou- ple of great-great grand- children; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Lorraine Marcelle Boysen Lucas will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Mike Moore officiat- ing. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Valley View Mausoleum, Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
