Thursday, February 25, 2016 Page 3 Church and related activities ELLA JACQUELINE KILGORE Ella Jacqueline Kilgore, 79, St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at WellStar Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, Marietta, Georgia. She was born in Dickenson County; daugh- ter of the late George and Vada Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her husband, EliHugh Johnson Kilgore; one sister, Katie; one brother, Ron; two half brothers, Luther and Frank; and one son-in-law, Richard Coffey. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She is survived by four children, Jeffrey Kilgore and wife, Laura of Paint Lick, Ke.ntucky, Jennifer Coffey of North Augusta, South Carolina, Rev. Hugh Kilgore and wife, Susette of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Alfreda Miller and husband, Chuck of Powder Springs, Georgia; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister, Mildred Skeens of Nora; four half sisters, Carrie Salyer of St. Paul, Jean Clark of St. Paul, Anita Statues of St. Paul, and Becky Holbrook of St. Paul; one brother, Andrew Holbrook of Nora; five half brothers, Bobby D. Holbrook of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Clinton Holbrook of Aurora, Illinois, Ray Holbrook of Aurora, Illinois, George Holbrook, Jr. of Aurora, Illinois, and Bobby M. Holbrook of St. Paul; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Ella Jacqueline Kilgore were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 in St. Paul United Methodist Church, St. Paul, with Rev. Harry Layell officiating. Interment followed in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers were Family and Friends. The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 in St. Paul United Methodist Church, St. Paul. RONALD HALL Ronald Hall, 75, passed away on February 17, 2016. He was born July 14, 1940 in Dante, Virginia to Roy and Rosa Hall. He is survived by two sons, Ronald H. Hall Jr. and Michael Hall, one Grandson Joseph Marshall Hall, all of Chesterton. He is survived by two sisters, Peg (Kline) Jones of Inverness Fla., and Coleen Meahl of Inverness, Fla., and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Rosa Hall, a brother Cecil & (Bennett) Hall, two sisters Louise (Tony) Consorti and Evelyn (Oscar) Amburgey, broth- er-in-Law Calvin Meahl and nieces Sue Hood and Sherry Mays. Ron served in the US Army in Germany from 1959 to 1961. Ronald Hall worked for National Steel from 1961 to 1999, and coached Little League in Porter from 1974 to 1978. He spent most winters in Florida from retirement to 2014 and his hobbies were run- ning and traveling to dif- ferent places in the United States. He loved his sons and especially his grandson Joey. Services will be at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, on Monday, February 22, 2016 with a visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. service at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Arville Dingus officiating and burial immediately fol- lowing at Temple Hill Cemetery in Castlewood. Memories and condolences may be shared at www. whitelovefuneral- JAMES "SHORTY" ROSE James "Shorty" Rose, 89, Sandusky, died Friday evening, February 19, 2016, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness. He was born July 27, 1926, in Castlewood, Virginia, the son of Noah Alfred and Mabel Alice (Jesse) Rose. He served our country during World War II in the United States Navy, and thenretired from JI-I Routh Packing in 1991. He loved gardening and family gatherings. He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl L. Nixon, whom he married March 5, 1952, his daugh- ter, Connie Rose, Sandusky, sons, Jim (Pat) Rose, Indianapolis and William (Shelley) Rose, Sandusky, grandchildren, Traci (Brian) Adams, Jonathan Rose, and Marcus (Angelica) Rose, great- grandchildren, Cameron, Caleb, Colby, Cooper. Jett and Violet. two great- great-grandchildren, sis- ters, Katherine (JC) Salyers, Castlewood, Virginia, Beulah Jackson, Tennessee, and Alice Faye Ison, Elyria, Ohio, brother, Ronald Rose, Michigan, and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to his par- ents, be was preceded in death by two brothers, Winston and Wayne.
