Perry, 67, of Bristol, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a devoted father, longtime audio engineer at Bristol Broadcasting, and an amateur radio enthusiast (call sign: WD4CYZ). He was a graduate of Castlewood High School. Rick was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Juanita Jessee Perry and his mother, Margaret Ireson. Survivors include his daughter, Susan R. Perry and son-in-law Adam Prufer of Cleveland, OH; brother-in-law Marvin Jessee; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Surgical ICU (#1) at Bristol Regional Medical Center for their care and compassion. Services will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contribu- tions may be made to The Bristol Emergency Food Pantry, P.O. Box 1471, Bristol, VA, 24203. JoAnne Gibson Musick Mrs. JoAnne Gibson Musick, age 78, of Castlewood, Virginia, for- merly of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Saturday (February 6, 2016) at her home. Born August 17, 1937 in Scott County, she was the daugh- ter of the late Ervin Edward, Sr. and Laura Evelyn Gibson. A lifelong resident of the Russell County area, she worked many years in Honaker sewing factory and attend- ed the Morning Star Church in Castlewood. She was a loving friend to everyone she meet, always willing to lend a hand or say a prayer to those in need. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by husband, Hubert Clell Musick, one son, Mark Clell Musick, three brothers, Essie Lee Gibson, Tony Gibson, Ervin Gibson, Jr., and one sister, Judy Gibson. Survivors include her special friend that she called her daughter, Stephanie Miner and fiancr, Jeremy Davis of St. Paul, special grandchil- dren, Catalina Miner and Ryan Miner of St. Paul, six sisters, Patsy Beavers of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, Shelia Fields of Kingsport, Tennessee, Mary Stephens of Wabash, Indiana, Doris McConnell of Gate City, Cassie Hensley of Nicklesville, Almeda Lawson of Gate City, one brother, Jimmy Gibson of Kingsport, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, with Rev. Woody Scott, Rev. Marvin Cain, and Rev. Danny Altizer officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Bryan Hall, Ken Stallard, Roy Amos, Jeremy Davis, and Danny Austin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stephanie Miner, Donna Greer, Millie Harris, Lola Mae Presley, Pam Ireson, Darlene Mann, Charlotte Amos, and the ladies she worked with at the Honaker sewing factory. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM till funeral hour.
